As Special Projects Manager for The Do Lab's Lightning in a Bottle Festival, I structure, hire and oversee the Special Projects Carpentry team. Working closely with the festival's founders to realize their creative visions for builds ranging in scale from tiny and functional to giant and weird, my team takes ideas from a napkin sketch through design, build, paint, finishing, install and strike. We aim to bring a high level finish to each whimsical project. 2024 builds included giant, dynamic google eyes for the main Lightning Stage, a reimagined pallet structure Merch store facade, inventive lightning bolt charging stations and creative fencing/portal to demarcate Artist Hospitality zones. It's a pleasure and a privilege to manage this skilled, creative team and to work with all the all-stars at The Do Lab.
